Michael Wu, M.D. was born and raised in Arkansas, where he started a career as a chemical engineer before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. Once he decided on the medical field, he graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He then migrated to Southern California, where he completed his psychiatry residency training at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Wu also received specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Currently, he also works part-time as the staff psychiatrist at California State University, Fullerton.  Dr. Wu is a member of American Psychiatric Association and the Orange County Psychiatric Society.  He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
